Annual General Meeting

We were hugely thrilled that so many friends and partners were able to attend our Annual General Meeting on 07 October, 2014.   Our theme,  “New Paradigms for Development” reflects the growing understanding, in South Africa and throughout the world, that the development of young children is key to reducing inequality and transforming society.

We were excited and honoured that Sherri Le Mottee, Ilifa Labantwana’s Programme Leader, delivered the key-note address. As a leading catalyst for systemic change, Ilifa Labantwana generates evidence-based knowledge and models of good practice that will bring about deep and sustained change for young children.

Why invest in young children?

An excellent presentation from the D G Murray Trust website, explaining why the “strongest strategy to change the future of South Africa is to invest in and nurture young children.” The presentation is by David Harrison, CEO of the D G Murray Trust, one of the most progressive funding organisations in South Africa.
